Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This policy explains what Engram Labs collects, why, and what we do not collect. It covers two separate things: this website, and the Engram application.
The Engram application
Engram builds a shared knowledge base for your team from the tools you choose to connect. You control what goes into it and who can query it.
- Credentials for connected tools are stored in the macOS system keychain on your machine. They are not written to disk in plaintext.
- Access is read-only and least-privilege. Engram requests the narrowest scope each provider offers and does not write back to your tools. Additional clients are default-deny until you explicitly grant access.
- Access is governed. Admin controls and SSO determine who on your team can query the brain.
- Deletion is in your hands. Disconnecting a source purges everything Engram indexed from it.
- Hosted securely. Your organization's knowledge base runs on secure cloud infrastructure, with a SOC 2 audit underway.
- Never used to train models. Engram does not use your company's data to train foundation models, and never shares it with other customers.
Where Engram passes a query to a third-party AI model at your direction, that request is governed by the model provider's own terms, and you control which model, if any, is used.
This website
When you request early access we collect what you enter in the form: your work email address, your role, your team size, and your answer about how your team handles institutional knowledge. We use this only to contact you about early access and to decide onboarding order. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
The waitlist form is hosted by Tally, which processes the submission on our behalf. This site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that measures aggregate page views and button clicks. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not build a profile of you.
Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@engramlabs.tech and we will action it. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Retention
Early-access submissions are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until the early-access programme closes and we no longer need them.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
